All our wines are made with the same commitment; although each come from a singular motivation. On the one hand, there is a deep attachment to the Jurançon territory, through its history and the one of our castle. But there is also the possibility of the evolution of this territory, hence the need to produce wines both within the Jurançon Appellation, and outside of this framework. That is why we offer two wine families today: AOC wines, biodynamic, and more personal, free, or natural wines. Our wines offers a wide range of emotions where each one can find his pleasure.

Biodynamic Jurançon Wines

JURANÇON SEC (DRY)

  • Type of wine: biodynamic wine
  • Grapes: 80 % Petit Manseng, 20 % Gros Manseng.
  • Harvest: manual harvest – first half of October
  • Winemaking: Spontaneous fermentation in barrels – 9 months of aging on fine lees, in oak barrels
  • Tasting: Slightly toasted nose, like fresh bread. Then comes a note of candied fruits, round and fresh mouth.
  • Food-wine pairing: Enjoy with oysters or fish, or Roquefort, sheep’s cheese, or country ham.
  • Conservation: 2 to 5 years
  • Certification: Demeter

JURANÇON DOUX (SWEET)

  • Type of wine: biodynamic wine
  • Grapes: 50% Gros Manseng, 50%  Petit Manseng
  • Harvest: manual harvest – second half of October
  • Winemaking: Spontaneous fermentation – 15 months of aging on fine lees, in stainless steel vats.
  • Tasting: Citrus nose, then peach and exotic fruits. A lively mouth, but with a natural smoothness, an exotic and balanced wine.
  • Food-wine pairing: Recommended as an aperitif.
  • Conservation: up to 10 years
  • Certification: Demeter

jurancon reserve

JURANÇON RÉSERVE (LATE HARVEST)

  • Type of wine: biodynamic wine
  • Grapes: 100% Petit Manseng
  • Harvest: manual harvest – second half of November
  • Winemaking: Spontaneous fermentation – 24 months of aging on fine lees, in oak barrels.
  • Tasting: Beautiful yellow dress tending towards gold. Vanilla nose, candied citrus, beeswax and truffle aromas. Soft and creamy mouth.
  • Food-wine pairing: It is a concentrated wine, whose finesse will be appreciated at the table with foie gras, or with a dessert with red fruits or dark chocolate.
  • Conservation: 15 to 20 years
  • Certification: Demeter

Natural Wines

ARGILE

  • Type of wine: Natural wine
  • Grapes: 100% Petit Manseng – Dry white wine.
  • Harvest: manual harvest – second half of September.
  • Winemaking: So-called natural wine, i.e., vinified without added wine products, not even sulphites. Fermented and aged in a terracotta amphora.
  • Tasting: With a beautiful and frank minerality, this dry white wine will surprise you with its balance. Between the tension and the fruit, its freshness, its vivacity and its length are always present. Each vintage has its unique aromatic palette, like any natural wine.
  • Food-wine pairing: Enjoy with oysters, seafood or by itself
  • Conservation: 2 to 5 years
  • Certification: Demeter

ORANGE

  • Type of wine: Natural wine
  • Grapes: 100% Petit Manseng – Dry white wine.
  • Harvest: manual harvest – second half of September.
  • Winemaking: So-called natural wine, that is, without added wine products, not even sulphites. Wine from a 21-day maceration between its grapes and its juice. Fermented and aged naturally in a terracotta amphora.
  • Tasting: Its black-gold color will seduce you. The flexibility of its tannins will enchant you. The most beautiful and original pairings are possible on this wine. Dare try it and tell us about it. We love it.

Natural Sparkling Wine

FUNAMBULE

  • Type of wine: Natural sparkling wine
  • Grapes: 100% Gros Manseng
  • Harvest: manual harvest – mid-September
  • Winemaking: Natural sparkling wine, from an ancestral method. Wine bottled during fermentation, with no added sugars or yeast. Aging on shelves.
  • Tasting: Perfect festive wine, this natural sparkling wine revives your taste buds as soon as you enjoy it and, if you have not finished the bottle, it can easily accompany you throughout the meal. We like its aromatic freshness, between lemon and tangerine depending on the vintages. You can even open another bottle for dessert, as you appreciate its lightness (in alcohol). The most “gurgling” of our wines!
